2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jose |
4 | | Lewis "Jay" Polanco Webb II, who passed away on June 24, 2023; |
5 | | and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Jay Polanco Webb was born to Starice Weddle and |
7 | | Lewis Polanco Webb on January 4, 2003; he graduated from |
8 | | Hinsdale South High School in 2021, where he was known for his |
9 | | infectious smile and bursting personality and was popular with |
10 | | his teachers, his development team, and his fellow students; |
11 | | and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Jay Polanco Webb continued his educational |
13 | | endeavors at the Hinsdale Township Transition Center, where he |
14 | | explored the community and learned more about finding |
15 | | independence as a young adult; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Jay Polanco Webb was committed to his faith; he |
17 | | loved music, especially hip-hop and rhythm & blues, and he |
18 | | frequented many concerts; and
|
19 | | WHEREAS, Jay Polanco Webb was known for being the comedic |
20 | | relief with a contagious laugh, and he enjoyed watching |
21 | | comedies; although he was nonverbal, he found great humor in |
|

1 | | hearing words with many syllables; and
|
2 | | WHEREAS, Jay Polanco Webb will be remembered for his |
3 | | adventurous spirit and the joy he brought to others; and

4 | | WHEREAS, Jay Polanco Webb was preceded in death by his |
5 | | great-grandmothers, Frances Pittman, Lillie Webb, and Phyllis |
6 | | Briggs; his great-grandfathers, Nathaniel Pittman and Israel |
7 | | Polanco; and his aunt, Juanita Pittman; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Jay Polanco Webb is survived by his mother, |
9 | | Starice (Van) Weddle; his father, Lewis (Ericka) Polanco Webb; |
10 | | his siblings, Jesa (Lilly), Jaylah, Vanquis, Vanide, Sencere, |
11 | | Jisele, Jenesis, Jinger, Vantiece, Alajiah, Amarion, Van Jr., |
12 | | and Vanquan; his grandparents, Diane Pittman, Maurice Briggs, |
13 | | Marisol Polanco, Albert and Ida Montgomery, Stephanie Baber, |
14 | | and Brenda (Miles Sr.) Martin; his great-grandparents, Chana |
15 | | Polanco and Nellie Sanders; and a host of aunts, uncles, and |
16 | | cousins; therefore, be it

19 | | we mourn the passing of Jose Lewis "Jay" Polanco Webb II and |
20 | | extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all |
