HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Jeannine
4Ellen (Mason) Black of Mahomet, who passed away on July 4,
52023; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jeannine Black was born in Bloomington to Harold
7and Alma (Ehrlich) Mason on November 2, 1939; she attended
8Trinity Lutheran School in Bloomington, graduated from
9Champaign High School in 1957, and attended the University of
10Illinois; she married James L. Black at St. John Lutheran
11Church in Champaign on January 28, 1961; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jeannine Black loved her family and always put
13them first; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jeannine Black enjoyed gardening and was an
15excellent cook, famous for her angel food cake; she was an avid
16fan of the St. Louis Cardinals; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jeannine Black was preceded in death by her
18parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jeannine Black is survived by her husband, Jim;
20her son, Jeffrey (Wendy) Black; her daughter, Julie (Derk)

1Taylor; her son, Scott (Diane) Black; her daughter, Pamela
2(Brian) Klepzig; her son, Mark (Cheryl) Black; her daughter,
3Jennifer (Joel) Tanner; her grandchildren, Ian Black, Evan
4(Christina) Black, Sean Black, Grant Taylor, Blake Taylor,
5Grace Taylor, Lauren Black, Megan Black, Mason Klepzig, Logan
6Klepzig, Madeleine Klepzig, Gretchen Klepzig, Brendan Black,
7Emily Black, Anna Black, Ryan Tanner, and Colin Tanner; her
8great-grandchild, Shiloh Black; her sister, Darlene Szymaniak;
9and her brother, Howard (Nancy) Mason; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we mourn the passing of Jeannine Ellen (Mason) Black and
13extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all
14who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Jeannine Black as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
