HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Local Union #136 on the 
4occasion of the 110th anniversary of its founding; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Local Union #136, formally known as the Riggers, 
6Machinery Movers & Machinery Erectors Local Union #136, was 
7founded in 1913; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Local #136 supplies  skilled machinery movers to 
9union contractors and consists of its own well-trained work 
10force and training center; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Local #136's  training center trains apprentices 
12and offers journeyman training courses to keep them trained in 
13the latest technology in construction; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Additionally, Local #136 offers journeymen 
15courses in CPR, first aid, fork lift certification, OSHA-10, 
16foreman upgrading, journeyman retraining, stewards customer 
17service, and welding certification; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Local #136 upholds a substance abuse policy to 
19exceed owner requirements and be drug free and conducts sexual 
20harassment training; and

1    WHEREAS, Local #136 demonstrates a commitment to 
2excellence, a highly-trained workforce, cost, quality time, 
3and safety; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, For 110 years, Local #136 has provided 
5opportunities to supply skilled machinery movers to union 
6contractors and help members succeed in their careers and 
7lives; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
9HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we congratulate Local Union #136 on its 110th anniversary, and 
11we wish it many more successful years; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
13presented to Business Manager FS/T Robert J. Fulton, President 
14John C. Stone Jr., Vice President Robert Pizur, and Recording 
15Secretary Robert F. Fulton as an expression of our esteem and 
16respect.
