Requires hospitals licensed under the Act to provide patients who overdose or have symptoms of opioid use disorder with an opioid antagonist upon discharge. |

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 6.8 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (110 ILCS 330/6.8 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 6.8. Opioid antagonist. The University of Illinois |
| 8 | | Hospital shall provide patients who overdose or have symptoms |
| 9 | | of opioid use disorder with an opioid antagonist upon |
| 10 | | discharge.

| 12 | | adding Section 6.35 as follows:
