AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5431

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5431, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
41, on page 11, by replacing lines 22 through 26 with the
5following:
6        "(7) the procedure for obtaining information about
7    guardianship or adoption resources, if so desired;
8        (8) any new or additional laws concerning the rights
9    of pregnant committed persons; and
10        (9) the address or contact information for community
11    organizations specializing in the rights of pregnant
12    committed persons for questions or concerns."; and
 
13on page 13, by replacing lines 17 through 20 with the
14following:
 
15    "(55 ILCS 5/3-15003.12 new)
16    Sec. 3-15003.12. Medical screening; pregnancy test. When a

1person with a uterus is committed to a facility, the person
2shall within 14 days be given a medical screening and offered a
3pregnancy test."; and
 
4by replacing line 23 on page 26 through line 1 on page 27 with

8        (8) any new or additional laws concerning the rights
9    of pregnant committed persons; and
10        (9) the address or contact information for community
11    organizations specializing in the rights of pregnant
12    committed persons for questions or concerns."; and
 
13on page 28, by replacing lines 9 through 12 with the following:
 
14    "(730 ILCS 5/3-6-7.6 new)
15    Sec. 3-6-7.6. Medical screening; pregnancy test. When a

18pregnancy test."; and
