| Amends the Fox Waterway Agency Act. Provides that a member of the board of directors and the Chairman of the Fox Waterway Agency may be compensated at the discretion of the Board in the sum of up to $6,000 (rather than $3,000) per year for each director and up to $10,000 (rather than $5,000) per year for the Chairman, effective immediately upon approval of the Board. Provides that, at its discretion, the Board may adjust these amounts for inflation as determined by the Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers as determined by the United States Department of Labor and rounded to the nearest $100. |

1 | | AN ACT concerning transportation. |
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The Fox Waterway Agency Act is amended by |
5 | | changing Section 6 as follows: |
6 | | (615 ILCS 90/6) (from Ch. 19, par. 1206) |
7 | | Sec. 6. The Board shall meet as soon as practicable after |
8 | | the directors assume the duties of office and shall meet at |
9 | | least 6 times annually or more often at the discretion of the |
10 | | Chairman or upon the request of 2/3 of the directors. The Board |
11 | | shall select from its membership a Secretary and a Treasurer. |
12 | | The Treasurer shall be custodian of all Agency funds and shall |
13 | | be bonded in such amount as the other members designate. The |
14 | | Chairman shall have the power to vote only in the event of a |
15 | | tie, but shall fully participate as a director in all other |
16 | | respects. Directors and the Chairman may be compensated at the |
17 | | discretion of the Board in the sum of up to $6,000 $3,000 per |
