| Amends the Department of Labor Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that, not later than 270 days after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the Director of Labor shall direct the Division of Occupational Safety and Health to issue non-mandatory guidance to employers on: (1) acquiring and maintaining opioid overdose reversal medication; and (2) training employees on an annual basis on the usage of such medication. Provides that, not later than 270 days after the effective date of the amendatory Act, the Director of Labor shall direct the Division of Occupational Safety and Health to adopt rules to require each State agency to: (1) acquire and maintain opioid overdose reversal medication; and (2) train employees on an annual basis on the usage of such medication. |

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
4 | | Section 5. The Department of Labor Law of the Civil |
5 | | Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section |
6 | | 1505-225 as follows: |
7 | | (20 ILCS 1505/1505-225 new) |
8 | | Sec. 1505-225. Opioid overdose reversal medications. |
9 | | (a) As used in this Section: |
10 | | "Employer" includes any individual, partnership, |
11 | | association, corporation, limited liability company, business |
12 | | trust, or any person or group of persons acting directly or |
13 | | indirectly in the interest of an employer in relation to an |
14 | | employee, for which one or more persons are gainfully employed |
15 | | on some day within a calendar year. "Employer" does not |
16 | | include the State or a unit of local government. |
17 | | "State agency" means each State agency, department, board, |
18 | | and commission under the jurisdiction of the Governor. |
19 | | (b) Not later than 270 days after the effective date of |
20 | | this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly, the |
21 | | Director of Labor shall direct the Division of Occupational |
22 | | Safety and Health within the Department of Labor to issue |
23 | | non-mandatory guidance to employers on: |
