Appropriates $1,000,000 to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to make grants to child care providers who offer non-traditional hours of care for the children of first responders and trade workers. Effective July 1, 2024.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $1,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to make grants to child care providers who offer non-traditional hours of care for the children of first responders and trade workers.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2024.
