| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 5-55 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (305 ILCS 5/5-55 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 5-55. Optometric services; reimbursement rates. |
| 8 | | Notwithstanding any other law or rule to the contrary, the |
| 9 | | reimbursement rates set forth in the Department's provider fee |
| 10 | | schedule that are in effect on the effective date of this |
| 11 | | amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly for optometrist |
| 12 | | services under CPT codes 92004, 92014, 92015, 99202, 99203, |
| 13 | | 99204, 92340, 92341, 99212, 99213, and 99214 shall be |
| 14 | | increased by 35%. As used in this Section, "CPT code" means the |
| 15 | | medical billing code set contained in the most recent version |
| 16 | | of the Current Procedural Terminology code book published by |
| 17 | | the American Medical Association.

| 18 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 19 | | becoming law. |
