AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3991

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3991 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

    "Section 5. The amount of $188,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for funds distributed under the Supporting Newcomer Students Program established by Section 2-3.204 of the School Code.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2024.”.
