Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the Medicaid rates set forth in the Department of Healthcare and Family Services' therapy provider fee schedule for reimbursement of occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists shall be no less than the reimbursement rates set forth in the Medicare fee schedule for occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 5-5.06f as follows:
|
| 6 | | (305 ILCS 5/5-5.06f new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 5-5.06f. Speech, occupational, and physical therapy |
| 8 | | services; reimbursement rates. Notwithstanding any other law |
| 9 | | or rule to the contrary, the Medicaid rates set forth in the |
| 10 | | Department's therapy provider fee schedule for reimbursement |
| 11 | | of occupational therapists, physical therapists, and |
| 12 | | speech-language pathologists shall be no less than the |
| 13 | | reimbursement rates set forth in the Medicare fee schedule for |
| 14 | | occupational therapists, physical therapists, and |
| 15 | | speech-language pathologists.

| 16 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 17 | | becoming law.
