SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Daniel H. "Dan" Krotz of Coal Valley, 
4who passed away on December 3, 2022; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dan Krotz was born to Joseph and Anna (Huneke) 
6Krotz in Rock Island on January 5, 1935; he served in the U.S. 
7Air Force during the Korean War; he married Martha Kick in Rock 
8Island on February 22, 1958, and she preceded him in death on 
9November 18, 2012; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dan Krotz worked at the former Case IH in East 
11Moline, retiring in 1989; he previously worked at the former 
12Rock Island Millworks; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dan Krotz was a member of Green Rock-Colona 
14American Legion Post 1233, the Patriot Guard Riders, the QC 
15Skyraiders, and the R.C. Flying Club and volunteered at the 
16Coal Valley Ambulance Service; he enjoyed riding motorcycles; 
17and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Dan Krotz was preceded in death by his sister, 
19Rose Heberly, and his brother, Ed Krotz; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Dan Krotz is survived by his sons, Rick (Terrie)

1Edwards and Tiffin (Joni) Krotz; his five grandchildren; and 
2his eight great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Daniel H. "Dan" Krotz and extend our sincere condolences to 
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Dan Krotz as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
