SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Rabbi Yaakov Rajchenbach, who passed
4away on August 5, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach served as an executive board
6member of Torah Umesorah and chair of the executive committee
7of Telshe Yeshiva of Chicago; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach was a pillar of Chicago's
9Jewish communities, embodying the spirit of Askanim and laying
10the groundwork for future Baalei Batim; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach was a legendary Ba'al Tzedaka
12and philanthropist who gave charitably to a myriad of causes,
13building and sustaining countless individuals and
14organizations; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach, known fondly as "Jack", was
16loved by his family and worship community; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rabbi Rajchenbach is survived by his wife, Judy,
18his children, and his grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Rabbi Yaakov Rajchenbach and extend our sincere condolences to
3his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Rabbi Rajchenbach as an expression
7of our deepest sympathy.
