2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Carol Collins Hogan, who passed away |
4 | | on September 30, 2022; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Carol Hogan was a lifelong learner and |
6 | | accomplished student; she obtained degrees from St. Mary's |
7 | | College in Notre Dame, Indiana, the University of Chicago, and |
8 | | the Loyola University School of Law; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Carol Hogan was a founding partner of the law |
10 | | firm of Hogan, Marren, Babbo and Rose; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Carol Hogan was an enthusiastic dancer and was |
12 | | known to lead all members of her entourage onto the dance floor |
13 | | when an ABBA song was played; because of this, she was |
14 | | affectionately referred to as "The Dancing Queen"; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Carol Hogan was preceded in death by her parents, |
16 | | Frank and Mary Collins, and her in-laws, Gertrude and Edward |
17 | | Hogan; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Carol Hogan is survived by her husband, Edward M. |
19 | | Hogan Jr.; her brother, John C. (Jackie), M.D.; her |
20 | | brothers-in-law, Patrick (Virginia), Thomas (Cathleen), and |
