SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Roger L. Greene of Hampton, who passed
4away on June 10, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Roger Greene was born to Richard L. and Marjorie
6(Dodge) Greene in Chicago on February 10, 1962; he served in
7the U.S. Army in Germany; he married Susanne Ann Vosen in
8Kaiserslautern, Germany on March 18, 1988; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Roger Greene's career in purchasing led him to
10live in several states throughout the United States; he
11returned to the Quad Cities in 2004 and worked for Kone until
12his departure from the company in 2012; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Roger Greene was a proud Eagle Scout; he enjoyed
14volunteering for various sports activities and Junior
15Achievement; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Roger Greene enjoyed fishing, hiking, golfing,
17playing video games, and spending time with his family; he was
18also an avid Bears, Cardinals, and Hawkeyes fan; he dabbled in
19poetry and crafted song ideas; he was deeply interested in
20theology and spirituality, and he explored different aspect of
21many religions; he was also very interested in ancient history

1and was fascinated by the stories surrounding ancient
2civilizations; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Roger Greene was a devoted son, husband, and
4father; he will be remembered for his kindness and his
5beautiful, creative mind; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Roger Greene was preceded in death by his father;
7his grandparents, Leigh and Madeline Greene and Philip and
8Frankie Dodge; his two aunts; his two uncles; and his three
9cousins; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Roger Greene is survived by his wife; his mother;
11his son, Ryan Greene; his brother-in-law, Thomas Vosen; his
12aunt, Margaret Greene; and his cousins, Cris Ehrhardt, John
13(Kim) Dodge, Matthew (Carla) Dodge, Amy (Bill Stronks)
14Wilson-Stronks, Renee (John) Barner, Beth Ehrhardt, Mike
15(Abigail) Dodge, Steve (Rose) Dodge, Philip (Kat Easterling)
16Dodge, and Heather Dodge; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19Roger L. Greene and extend our sincere condolences to his
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
