SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Charles Anderberg Jackson, who passed
4away on July 29, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Jackson was born in Detroit, Michigan to
6Charles E. and Alice (Anderberg) Jackson on February 4, 1925
7and lived his entire life in Moline; he served in the U.S. Army
8Signal Corp during World War II; he was honorably discharged
9and awarded the Purple Heart; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Charles Jackson worked as a letter carrier at the
11Moline Post Office and retired in 1985 after 30 years of
12service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Charles Jackson was proud of his Swedish
14heritage; he was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in
15Moline; he was happy to be able to spend time with his
16great-grandchildren, Holden and Dahlia, who made him laugh; he
17enjoyed going to lunch with his daughter, Janet, and special
18friend, Kitty; he regretted not winning the lottery; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Charles Jackson was preceded in death by his wife
20of 61 years, Nancy; his parents; and his cat, Pearl "Mom"; and

1    WHEREAS, Charles Jackson is survived by his daughter,
2Carole Flosi; his grandson, Daniel (Karlee) Flosi; his
3great-grandchildren; his sister, Alice Johnson; his
4sister-in-law, Marilyn Boen; his cat, Arlene; and his niece,
5Kathy (Frey) Herritt; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Charles Anderberg Jackson and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Charles Jackson as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
