SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Bill L. Pulford of East Moline, who
4passed away on July 11, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Pulford was born to Josephine and Ben
6Pulford in Moline on February 13, 1942; he graduated from
7Moline High School in 1960; he served in the U.S. Navy for four
8years, sailing on the U.S.S. Boston during the Cuban Missile
9Crisis and later on the U.S.S. Maloy out of the New London
10Submarine Base; he married Pauline Hendricks at Sacred Heart
11Catholic Church in Moline on May 4, 1974; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill Pulford worked as a torque inspector
13building combines at John Deere Harvester Works, where he
14retired after many years of service; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bill Pulford loved home remodeling and was an
16expert woodworker; he built many classic 1950s and 1960s Chevy
17cars through the years, and he helped organize the Quad City
18Classics Car Club; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bill Pulford was preceded in death by his parents
20and his brother, Ben; and

1    WHEREAS, Bill Pulford is survived by his wife, Pauline;
2his son, Christopher (Dawn) Pulford, and his grandchildren,
3Daphne (Matt) and Vaughn; his daughter, Wendy White, and his
4grandchild, Brandon (Brittany); his son, Matt (Kelly) Pulford,
5and his grandchildren, Amelia and Ava; his siblings, Bob (Mary
6Jo) Pulford, Dale (Ruth) Pulford, Jim Pulford, Ken (Debbie)
7Pulford, and Betty (Tim McGiness) Pulford; and his
8sister-in-law, Karen Pulford; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Bill L. Pulford and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Bill Pulford as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
