SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Kenneth "Ken" E. Gramling Jr. of East
4Moline, who passed away on June 29, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ken Gramling was born to Kenneth Sr. and Ima
6Lucille (Marvin) Gramling in Milan, Missouri on September 6,
71933; he served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict
8and was honorably discharged; he married Norma Williams in
9Moline on June 19, 1955; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ken Gramling worked at John Deere Harvester, East
11Moline; he retired in 1989 after more than 35 years of service;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ken Gramling was a master mechanic and could fix
14anything; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Ken Gramling was preceded in death by his
16parents; his son, Dennis; his twin, J.T. (Nancy) Gramling; and
17his brothers-in-law, Marvin Pinnick, Paul Wilson, and Abe
18Holland; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ken Gramling is survived by his wife of 67 years,
20Norma; his children, David Gramling, Bill (Ronda) Gramling,

1Dan Gramling, and Mike Gramling; his 13 grandchildren; his 15
2great-grandchildren; and his six siblings, Marva "Earleen"
3Pinnick, Carolee Wilson, Phylis Rae Holland, Lowell "Burton"
4(Darlene) Gramling, and Pharis "Marvin" (Patricia) Gramling;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Kenneth "Ken" E. Gramling and extend our sincere condolences
9to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Ken Gramling as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
