2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Reginald "Reggie" Dunbar Jr. of Coal |
4 | | Valley, who passed away on June 5, 2022; and

5 | | WHEREAS, Reggie Dunbar was born to Reginald and Pearl |
6 | | (Couert) Dunbar Sr. in East Moline on August 24, 1923; he |
7 | | served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II; he married |
8 | | Barbara Douglas at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colona on |
9 | | May 4, 1968; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Reggie Dunbar was a union electrician; in 1981, |
11 | | he retired from Ericson Construction in Moline after 22 years |
12 | | of service; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Reggie Dunbar was preceded in death by his |
14 | | parents; his wife; his son, Dwain Wyant; and his sister; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Reggie Dunbar is survived by his daughter-in-law, |
16 | | Susan Wyant; his granddaughters, Andrea (Charles) Hanson and |
17 | | Melanie (Eric Bradley) Rice; his great-grandchildren, Alex |
18 | | (Kim), Noah, Olivia, Cassidy, and Sophia; his |
19 | | great-great-grandson, Adam; and his special friend, Dave |
20 | | (Christine) DeKezel; therefore, be it
