SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Kent D. Dusch of Rock Island, who
4passed away on April 11, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kent Dusch was born to Kenneth and Edythe
6(Stella) Dusch in Peru on July 31, 1946; he graduated from
7United Township High School in 1964; he served in the U.S.
8Army, with service in Korea; he married Brenda Y. Lovell in
9East Moline in 1971; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Kent Dusch was employed at Blackhawk Foundry &
11Machine Company in Davenport, Iowa for over 40 years; he
12retired from the company's board of directors in 2005; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kent Dusch was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic
14Church in Milan and Milan American Legion Post 569; he coached
15Milan little and senior leagues and Milan Legion baseball
16teams for many years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kent Dusch loved sports and was an avid Bears,
18Cardinals, and Illini fan; he also enjoyed fishing, traveling,
19and golfing, and he scored a hole in one on hole #4 at the
20Highland Springs Golf Course in 2018; he loved spending time
21with his family, whom he cherished, especially his

1grandchildren; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Kent Dusch was preceded in death by his parents;
3his brother, Donald Kidd; his sister, Carol Hoefle; and his
4great-granddaughter, Jersey Dietrich; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kent Dusch is survived by his wife, Brenda; his
6sons, Bryan (Erin) Dusch and Gregory (Jessica Wasson) Dusch;
7his grandchildren, Allison (Devin) Dietrich, Abbie Dusch,
8Darian Hebel, Jacob Angell, Connor (fiancée, Jocee Bloyer)
9Dusch, Hailee Wasson, and Aaron Dusch; his nephew, Scott
10Dobereiner; and his brother-in-law, Fred Hoefle; therefore, be
11it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Kent D. Dusch and extend our sincere condolences to his
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Kent Dusch as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
