2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois State Senate are |
3 | | saddened to learn of the death of Janet H. "Jan" Hannigan of |
4 | | Oak Park, who passed away on January 23, 2022 at the age of 89; |
5 | | and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was born to Ralph and Edith Davis in |
7 | | Oak Park on September 10, 1932; she graduated from Oak Park and |
8 | | River Forest High School in 1950; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan enjoyed a long career working for |
10 | | West Suburban Hospital, where she was promoted to director of |
11 | | communications before she began working for the Federal |
12 | | Deposit Insurance Corporation; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan also worked with the Oak Park Area |
14 | | Gay and Lesbian Association before her retirement; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was an avid book reader and enjoyed |
16 | | bowling, knitting, and crocheting; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and |
18 | | Chicago Bears fan, traveling with her best friend of many |
19 | | years, Marion, to watch the Bears preseason games in |
20 | | Platteville; and |
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was well known for her humor, |
2 | | friendliness, and love of people; and
|
3 | | WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan was preceded in death by her sons, |
4 | | James E. Hannigan and Robert K. Hannigan; her parents; and her |
5 | | two brothers; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Jan Hannigan is survived by her children, Kathi |
7 | | (Dave) Seibt, Christine Hannigan, Lori (Rose) |
8 | | Mireles-Hannigan, Michael (Kimi) Hannigan, Jennifer Hannigan, |
9 | | and Sara (Mike) Rowe-Hannigan; her grandchildren, Caitlin |
10 | | Hannigan, Danny Hannigan, Kelsey Seibt, Krista Seibt, Samantha |
11 | | Hannigan, Allison Hannigan, Kevin Hannigan, Kyle Hannigan, |
12 | | Ryan Davidson, Jocelyn Davidson, Dylan Davidson, Ryan Rowe, |
13 | | Jordan Rowe, Brandon Rowe, and Aaron Rowe; and her five |
14 | | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
17 | | Janet H. "Jan" Hannigan and extend our sincere condolences to |
18 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
