2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Curtis R. Koepping of Hillsdale, who |
4 | | passed away on March 16, 2022; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping was born to Frank and Beatrice |
6 | | (Knochenmus) Koepping in Hillsdale on September 30, 1929; he |
7 | | served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he married Arlys |
8 | | Ernst in Port Byron on December 12, 1971; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping worked for J.I. Case, Bettendorf; |
10 | | he retired in 1987; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping attended Countryside Christian |
12 | | Church until his health deteriorated; he enjoyed doing |
13 | | yardwork, tending to his flowers, riding his bicycle, taking |
14 | | long walks with his dogs, and grocery shopping; most of all, he |
15 | | enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his |
16 | | grandson, Josh; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping was preceded in death by his |
18 | | parents; his sisters, Marilyn Koepping and Marcella Koepping; |
19 | | and his sisters-in-law, Aleta Dean and Patricia Ernst; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping is survived by his wife, Arlys; |
