2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Larry Lozell Nunn of Rock Island, who |
4 | | passed away on March 4, 2022; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was born in Moline to Albert and Ellen |
6 | | Nunn on March 11, 1948; he served with the U.S. Army during the |
7 | | Vietnam War and married Lorraine Meredith at Duck Creek Park |
8 | | on September 30, 2006; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was employed as a Flight |
10 | | Standardization Engineer with the Iowa National Guard; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was a member of Heritage Church in |
12 | | Rock Island and the Veterans of Foreign War; he was Past |
13 | | Commander of the Rock Island V.F.W. and past member of the |
14 | | V.F.W. Council and Past 8th District Commander; his hobbies |
15 | | included trains, sitting by the water, and traveling; he loved |
16 | | attending his grandchildren's sporting events and school |
17 | | functions and spending time with his family; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was preceded in death by his parents |
19 | | and his siblings, Jack Nunn, Mary Kay Fanning, Robert Nunn, |
20 | | and Terry McCleary; and
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Larry Nunn is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his |
2 | | children, Krista Sloan, Jason (Sarah) Nunn, Audra (Fletcher) |
3 | | Ford, and Ashley (Chad) Jacks; his grandchildren, Nick Krebs, |
4 | | Miranda Sloan, Stephen (Heather) Sloan, Trevor, Carson, and |
5 | | Maddox Nunn, Cammeron, Ashlyn, Logan, Isabella, and Carter |
6 | | Ford, Colby Zank, and Andrew and Emily Jacks; his |
7 | | great-grandchildren, Elsie and Kalvin Krebs, Lily Bessert, and |
8 | | Parker Sloan; his special nephew, Jim (Julie) Fanning; and his |
9 | | siblings, David (Jody) Nunn, Richard Nunn, and Mike (Mary Jo) |
10 | | McCleary; therefore, be it

11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
13 | | Larry Lozell Nunn and extend our sincere condolences to his |
14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
15 | | further
