SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Joseph Carpio Sr. of Moline, who
4passed away on February 27, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio was born to Pedro and Mary (Perez)
6Carpio in East Moline on January 19, 1930; he served in the
7U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; he married Margaret
8Segobiano; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio retired as an overhead crane
10operator at the International Harvester in East Moline; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio enjoyed being with his family,
12especially his grandchildren; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio was preceded in death by his
14parents; his wife, Margaret; his son, Richard; and his
15brothers, Chuck, Walt, Frank, Robert, Tony, Jesse, and Bob;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Joseph Carpio is survived by his son, Joseph
18(Laurie) Carpio Jr.; his grandchildren, Philip Carpio,
19Brittney (Jordan) Garvey, Payton Carpio, and Larry (Nicole)
20Snyder; his sisters, Margaret "Mickey" Mayer, Joannie Hurt,

1Lupe Reese, and Terry DeFauw; and his many nieces, nephews,
2and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Joseph Carpio Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Joseph Carpio as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
