2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Lawrence T. "Larry" Moorman of | ||||||
4 | Channahon, who passed away on January 24, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was born in Joliet to Wilbur A. and | ||||||
6 | Agnes V. (Van Duyne) Moorman
on April 10, 1937; he was the | ||||||
7 | oldest of 65 grandchildren of the Van Duyne family; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was the developer of
Spring Brook | ||||||
9 | Estates in Channahon and a longtime part owner of
Rittof's | ||||||
10 | Hardware in Channahon; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was a member of Carpenters Local | ||||||
12 | #174 for over 50 years; he was a talented and skilled wood | ||||||
13 | worker who milled his own lumber;
he enjoyed his small animal | ||||||
14 | farm and was a longtime member of the
"Coffee Club", which | ||||||
15 | included Bob, George, Ron, Juno, Jim, Bud, and the late Art; he | ||||||
16 | will be lovingly remembered as everyone's "Project Engineer"; | ||||||
17 | and

18 | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | parents; his son, Louie Moorman; and his sister, Nancy M. | ||||||
20 | Moorman; and

1 | WHEREAS, Larry Moorman was the beloved husband of 59 years | ||||||
2 | of Janet M. (Rittof) Moorman;
the proud father of Robert A. | ||||||
3 | (Jody) Moorman, Missey Moorman-Schumacher,
Joseph J. (Lori) | ||||||
4 | Moorman, and the late Lawrence S. "Louie" Moorman;
the loving | ||||||
5 | and cherished grandfather of Aubry (Eli) White, Andrew | ||||||
6 | Moorman, Brock Hermann, Chase Hermann, Bradley Schumacher, and | ||||||
7 | J. Schumacher;
and the dearest great-grandfather of Callen | ||||||
8 | White, Isabel White, Olivia White, and
McKenzie | ||||||
9 | Sobota-Hermann; also left to cherish his memory are his dear
| ||||||
10 | nephews, Steve III (Stacy) and Matthew (Erin) Rittof and his | ||||||
11 | brother-in-law,
Steve (Cathy) Rittof; therefore, be it

12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
14 | Lawrence T. "Larry" Moorman and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
15 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
16 | it further

17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
18 | presented to the family of Larry Moorman as an expression of | ||||||
19 | our deepest sympathy.
