SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Joseph "Joe" E. Penca of East Moline,
4who passed away on January 31, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joe Penca was born to Anton and Teresa (Perkovic)
6Penca in Silvis on June 10, 1927; he served in World War II as
7a member of the U. S. Navy; he married Ursula Tragarz in Moline
8on October 11, 1958; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Joe Penca worked as an electrician at Case IH,
10East Moline, retiring in 1991; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Joe Penca was a member of Christ the King
12Catholic Church, East Moline American Legion Post 227, U.A.W
13Local 1304, and the Short Hills Caddie Club; he was a long-time
14member of SNPJ; his family meant everything to him, and he
15always put them first in his life; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Joe Penca was preceded in death by his parents;
17his wife; and his grandson, James Schaeffer; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Joe Penca is survived by his son, Joseph S.
19Penca; his daughters, Kathleen Penca, Patricia (William)
20Schaeffer, and Mary Ann (Rod) Brown; his grandchildren,

1Kristen (Sebastian) Blank, Hans (Katie) Schaeffer, JohnPatrick
2(Lauren) Brown, Clarice Brown, and MiKayla Penca; three

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Joseph "Joe" E. Penca and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Joe Penca as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
