SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of John L. Angel of East Moline, who
4passed away on January 12, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Angel was born in Moline to Adolph and Emma
6(Roscoe) Angel on June 20, 1930; he served in the U.S. Air
7Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Okinawa,
8Japan for four years; he married Jacqueline Hanneman at St.
9Mary's Church in Hampton on September 24, 1955; and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Angel retired from John Deere Harvester
11after 38 years of service as a tool and die maker; and
 
12    WHEREAS, John Angel was an outdoorsman and loved
13everything to do with nature; he especially enjoyed bow
14hunting for deer with Mike and golfing with his grandsons; he
15was a jack of all trades and a loving husband, father,
16grandfather, and great-grandfather; and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Angel was preceded in death by his wife,
18Jacqueline; his parents; his stepfather, Sid Bosoluke; and his
19son, John Angel; and
 
20    WHEREAS, John Angel is survived by his son, Mike (Kim)

1Angel; his daughter-in-law, Faith Angel; his grandchildren,
2Nicholas (Theresa) Angel, Jacob Angel, Heather (Keith)
3Scrowther, and Barbie Angel; and his great-grandchildren, Liv,
4Justin, Camilla, and Henry; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7John L. Angel and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of John Angel as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
