2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Mack Young Jr. of Wood River, who |
4 | | passed away on January 6, 2022; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Mack Young was born to Mack and Lillian "Margie" |
6 | | (Doty) Young Sr. in Benton, Missouri on March 8, 1942; he |
7 | | married Shelia Ann Aldrich in Jackson, Missouri on June 10, |
8 | | 1960; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Mack Young was employed as a car hauler at |
10 | | Cassens and Sons Transport in Edwardsville for over 30 years; |
11 | | and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Mack Young was a member of the First Baptist |
13 | | Church in Maryville, the Jaycees, and Teamsters Local 604; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Mack Young was active with the Boy Scouts, where |
15 | | he held many different offices; he coached Pee Wee Football |
16 | | for seven years; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Mack Young loved to race stock cars at the |
18 | | Godfrey and Tri City Speedways; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, |
19 | | and watching his children and grandchildren play in various |
20 | | Oiler sports; and
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Mack Young was preceded in death by his parents; |
2 | | his son, Daniel Young; and his brothers, Dennis and James; and
|
3 | | WHEREAS, Mack Young is survived by his wife, Shelia; his |
4 | | son, Michael L. (Denise) Young; his daughters, Debra (William |
5 | | "Jeff") Campbell and Diane (Chlorus) Cox; his grandchildren, |
6 | | Crystal (Craig) Wilson, Michael (Donia) Young, Alexis Young, |
7 | | Alexander Young, Joshua (Chrissie) Young, Zakary Young, Alyssa |
8 | | (Griffin) Horne, Mara (Nathan) Cook, Brandon Cox, and |
9 | | Mackenzie Cox; his great-grandchildren, Westin, Willa Claire, |
10 | | Haylee, Hunter, Donavin, Tyler, Logan, Mason, and Karsen; his |
11 | | sister, Cindy Nance; his brother, David (Lois) Young; his many |
12 | | nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends; |
13 | | therefore, be it

15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
