SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Matthew "Matt" D. Moyes of Peru, 
4formerly of Rock Island, who passed away on September 20, 
52021; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Matt Moyes was born to  John W. and Phyllis 
7(McLaughlin) Moyes in Rock Island on February 3, 1967; he 
8served in the U.S. Army  during Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Matt Moyes worked as a nurse practitioner at 
10Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Matt Moyes was a member of several professional 
12and medical organizations; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Matt Moyes enjoyed spending time with his 
14children and  his dog and traveling to see his nephews in South 
15Dakota; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Matt Moyes was preceded in death by his parents; 
17and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Matt Moyes is survived by his children, Shane and 
19Grace; his stepchildren, Krystle and Michael; his brother,

1John (Michele) Moyes; his nephews, Matthew and Joshua; and his 
2dog, Cooper; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Matthew "Matt" D. Moyes and extend our sincere condolences to 
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Matt Moyes as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
