SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of James Robert "Jim" Graham of Silvis, 
4who passed away on September 21, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James Graham was born to James and Marjorie 
6(Kramer) Graham in Davenport, Iowa on November 24, 1930; he 
7served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict; he 
8married Geraldine Malmstrom in East Moline on June 2, 1962; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, James Graham worked for the former East Moline 
11State Hospital and the East Moline Correctional Center for 43 
12years; he retired as assistant chief engineer in 1994; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, James Graham was a member of the Fraternal Order 
14of Eagles and the East Moline American Legion; he loved 
15fishing and adored his grandchildren; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, James Graham was preceded in death by his 
17parents; his sister, Carol Coder; and his brother, George 
18Graham; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, James Graham is survived by his wife of 59 years, 
20Geraldine; his children, Tracey (Bob) Fulton and Jim Graham;

1his grandchildren, Alex, Mack, Lauren, and Audrey; and his 
2brother, Walt (Jeanette) Graham; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5James Robert "Jim" Graham and extend our sincere condolences 
6to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of James Graham as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
