SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of David "Dave" "Rocko" Lynn Rochester of 
4Virginia, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, David Rochester was born to Paul E. and Edna M. 
6DeShasier Rochester in White Hall on May 4, 1948; he married 
7Nancy J. Hatfield Zimmer in Virginia, Illinois on September 
824, 1999; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, David Rochester worked for CASSCOMM in Virginia, 
10Illinois for many years; and
   
 
11    WHEREAS, David Rochester served as a volunteer firefighter 
12with the Virginia Fire Department for 34 years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, David Rochester enjoyed woodworking and playing 
14golf; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, David Rochester was preceded in death by his 
16parents; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, David Rochester is survived by his wife; his 
18children, Gena (Atwood) Huff, David P. (Chrissy) Rochester, 
19and Jody (Brad) Racey; his two stepdaughters, Holly (Tom)

1Lannon and Chrissy (Ryan Hitt) Zimmer; his numerous 
2grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his brother, Bob 
3Rochester; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6David "Dave" "Rocko" Lynn Rochester and extend our sincere 
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
8him; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of David Rochester as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
