SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Lester L. Moyer of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on July 13, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lester Moyer was born to William and Inice (Long) 
6Moyer in Rock Island on April 5, 1945; he served his country 
7and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1966; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Lester Moyer worked for the State of Illinois at 
9the National Guard in Milan; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Lester Moyer enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and 
11very much loved his country and his service; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Lester Moyer was preceded in death by his 
13parents; his three sisters; and his four brothers; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Lester Moyer is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his 
15daughters, Dorothy Abernathy and Mary Solberg; his sons, Billy 
16Moyer and Michael Moyer; his four stepchildren; his 
17grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Inez 
18Talbot, Judy Canady, Elsie Moyer, and Donna Sierra; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Lester L. Moyer and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him;; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Lester Moyer as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
