|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Arlene Mabel Hall, who passed away on |
4 | | July 15, 2021; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Hall was born in Alton to Ralph and Mabel |
6 | | (Klopmeier) Helmkamp on January 24, 1942; she graduated from |
7 | | Bunker Hill High School in 1960; she married Ralph Hall at Zion |
8 | | Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill on November 14, 1964; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Hall worked at Millers Mutual and Olin |
10 | | Winchester after graduating high school; she was a |
11 | | stay-at-home mom until she became a representative for Avon |
12 | | from 1970 until 1982; she then joined Mary Kay Cosmetics, |
13 | | where she served as a sales director for 39 years; during her |
14 | | illustrious career, she won 17 cars, placed on the National |
15 | | Court of Sales 17 times, and placed on the National Court of |
16 | | Sharing; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Hall was a proud member of St. Paul |
18 | | Lutheran Church Wood River for 56 years, where she enjoyed |
19 | | being a member of the choir and of the handbell choir and |
20 | | taught Sunday school; she was a loving wife, mother, and |
21 | | grandmother; she was affectionately known as "Nana" to her |
22 | | grandchildren; she will be remembered for selflessly devoting |

1 | | herself to her family and her faith; and
|
2 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Hall was preceded in death by her parents; |
3 | | her in-laws, Merrill and Helen Hall; her brother-in-law, Ed |
4 | | Gillis; her nephew, Ed Gillis Jr.; her niece, Amy Robinson; |
5 | | and her great-nephew, Wyatt Robinson; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Arlene Hall is survived by her husband of 56 |
7 | | years, Ralph Hall; her daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Baggett; her |
8 | | son, William (Sara) Hall; her grandchildren, Joshua (Allison) |
9 | | Baggett, Jessica Baggett, Katie Hall, Jacob Hall, Logan Hall, |
10 | | Matthew Yates, and Kyle Yates; her sisters, Louise (Jerry) |
11 | | Weidner, Janet Gillis, and Phyllis (John) Robinson; therefore, |
12 | | be it

13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
15 | | Arlene Mabel Hall and extend our sincere condolences to her |
16 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
17 | | further

18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
19 | | presented to the family of Arlene Hall as an expression of our |
20 | | deepest sympathy.
