SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Carlson, who passed away 
4on June 4, 2021; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Carlson was born in Belvidere to Paul and 
6Katherine Carlson on March 3, 1927; he graduated from Rock 
7Island High School and earned his Bachelor of Science from the 
8University of Oklahoma; he served in the U.S. Navy; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Carlson worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 
1034 years as an Industrial Engineer for AMCOM; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Bob Carlson was a member of St. James Lutheran 
12Church and a charter member of the Pinnacle Golf Club; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Bob Carlson was preceded in death by his first 
14wife, Gloria, and  his second wife, Nina; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Bob Carlson was the loving father of Reed 
16(Karen), JoDee (Greg), and Jill; the proud grandfather of 
17Greg, Tadd, and Morgen; and the great-grandfather of Gabby; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Robert "Bob" Carlson and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Bob Carlson as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
