2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Thomas M. McCormack of McHenry, who |
4 | | passed away on January 30, 2021; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Thomas McCormack was born in Chicago to Timothy |
6 | | and Mary Lois (Temple) McCormack on March 3, 1947; he attended |
7 | | Marquette University; he served as a combat medic in the U.S. |
8 | | Army from 1967 to 1969, where achieved the rank of Specialist |
9 | | 5th Class (E-5) and was stationed in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969; |
10 | | he married Bonnie in McHenry on July 11, 2009; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Thomas McCormack worked in various management |
12 | | capacities at Montgomery Ward for 15 years; he then finished |
13 | | his career working for Panasonic for 25 years; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Thomas McCormack was a lifetime member and served |
15 | | on the board of the McHenry VFW; during his retirement, he |
16 | | loved traveling with his wife, spending time with family, and |
17 | | golfing; he was also an avid Chicago Bears fan; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Thomas McCormack was preceded in death by his |
19 | | parents, Timothy L. and Mary Lois (Temple) McCormack; his |
20 | | brother, Timothy T. McCormack; and his sister-in-law, Carol |
21 | | McCormack; and
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Thomas McCormack is survived by his wife, Bonnie; |
2 | | his son, Sean McCormack; his siblings, Gail (Phil) Bucaro, |
3 | | Mike McCormack, and Maureen (Jim) Schlobohm; his stepchildren, |
4 | | Kelly (Dave) Grove, Kim Fox, Patrick Wetzel, Megan (Raphe) |
5 | | Reiche, and Bowen (Amanda) Kennebeck; his grandchildren, |
6 | | Morgan and Mason McCormack; his step-grandchildren, Austin |
7 | | Wetzel-Conner, Dylan Wetzel-Conner, Logan Grove, Donnie Simon, |
8 | | Skylyn Carter, Ellianne Carter, Kailer Reiche, Rayna Reiche, |
9 | | Breken Reiche, Kaden Reiche, and Asher Kennebeck; and his |
10 | | great-grandson, Asher Grove; therefore, be it

11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
13 | | Thomas M. McCormack and extend our sincere condolences to his |
14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
15 | | further

16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
17 | | presented to the family of Thomas McCormack as an expression |
18 | | of our deepest sympathy.
