|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of Nancy Jane Ingram Moore, who passed |
4 | | away on February 2, 2021; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Moore was born to Richard Ingram and Gladys |
6 | | Pankey Ingram in Lincoln on February 2, 1953; she graduated |
7 | | from Elkhart High School and was homecoming queen in 1971; |
8 | | while in school, she worked as a waitress for Martha Bair in |
9 | | the evenings, on the weekends, and during the summer; she |
10 | | married Terry Moore in Sherman on October 7, 1972; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Moore retired from the State of Illinois in |
12 | | 2004; she also worked at the bank in Elkhart and at the Elkhart |
13 | | Post Office; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Moore served as a Village of Elkhart Board |
15 | | Trustee; while on the board, she served as chairwoman of the |
16 | | Village Parks Committee for many years and was passionate |
17 | | about her responsibilities; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Moore was a lifetime member of Elkhart |
19 | | Methodist Church and served on the board of directors as |
20 | | secretary and treasurer and was in charge of the communion |
21 | | ministry; and |
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Moore was an avid softball player who |
2 | | played on a ladies league well into her 50s and coached for |
3 | | several years; above all else, she loved her family; and
|
4 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Moore was preceded in death by her |
5 | | grandparents; her father; her step-father, Dave Guinn; her |
6 | | mother-in-law and father-in-law; and her several aunts and |
7 | | uncles; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Nancy Moore is survived by her husband, Terry; |
9 | | her children, Tyler Moore, Tara (Aaron) Larson, and Travis |
10 | | (Sarah) Moore; her grandchildren, Briar, Trey, Tinlee, and |
11 | | Blane; her mother, Gladys Guinn; her brother, Rick Ingram; her |
12 | | aunts, Pat Pankey and Nancy Pankey; her uncle, Fritz Werkman; |
13 | | and her many friends; therefore, be it
|
14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
16 | | Nancy Jane Ingram Moore and extend our sincere condolences to |
17 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
18 | | further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Nancy Moore as an expression of our |
21 | | deepest sympathy.
