SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Kenneth James "Kenny" Udehn, formerly
4of Moline, who passed away on April 9, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenny Udehn was born in Chicago to Carlysle and
6Catharine Belding Udehn on December 28, 1952; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Kenny Udehn was a member of Faith Lutheran Church
8and a founding member of New Kingdom Trailriders; he loved
9being involved in local sports, and he was a member of The Quad
10City Sled Hockey Association's (TQCSHA) sled hockey team and
11participated in waterskiing sponsored by Backwater Gamblers
12and St. Ambrose College; he was also passionate about camping,
13traveling, fishing, journaling, rock polishing and collecting,
14bowling, scrapbooking, and watching movies, game shows, and
15soap operas; he especially enjoyed family trips to South
16Dakota and Disney World; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kenny Udehn was a well-known, active, and beloved
18fixture within the Quad Cities community; he was known for his
19special way of lighting up any room with his infectious smile
20and for giving so much love to so many; his presence will be
21greatly missed, and his legacy will live on in all the lives he
22touched within the community; and

1    WHEREAS, Kenny Udehn was preceded in death by his parents;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Kenny Udehn is survived by his brother, Dr. David
4(Rose) Udehn; his sister, Kippy (Bill Murphy) Udehn; his
5nieces and nephews, Crystal Udehn, Tara Johanneson, Cierra
6Lindquist-Haffner, Suzanne Hanson, Michelle Udehn, Cpt. Zane
7Lindquist, Skye Bork, and Paul Udehn; and a host of friends and
8family; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Kenneth James "Kenny" Udehn and extend our sincere condolences
12to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Kenny Udehn as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
