|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
3 | | to learn of the death of George E. "Bud" Fulton of Peoria, who |
4 | | passed away on March 29, 2021; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Bud Fulton was born to Everett "Jug" and Louise |
6 | | (Faletti) Fulton in Farmington on May 14, 1941; he joined the |
7 | | United States Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic |
8 | | from 1959 to 1963; while stationed in Portland, Oregon, he met |
9 | | Deanna K. Dusky, and they married on December 14, 1961; she |
10 | | passed away on June 19, 1969; he married Debra Turner in Peoria |
11 | | on November 3, 1979; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Bud Fulton joined the Peoria Police Department in |
13 | | 1971 and served for 22 years, retiring on July 31, 1999; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Bud Fulton received the Police Officer of the |
15 | | Year Award, the Combat Valor Award, the Distinguished Service |
16 | | Award, the Life Saving Award, and the American Legion Award; |
17 | | and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Bud Fulton loved the outdoors, especially his |
19 | | cabin and 16 acres on the Sangamon River; he loved fishing and |
20 | | was an avid deer hunter; he enjoyed mushroom hunting in the |
21 | | spring and fall and loved to cook; he had a special love for |
|

1 | | his dog Lily who was his constant companion, but his family was |
2 | | the thing most near and dear to his heart; and |
3 | | WHEREAS, Bud Fulton was preceded in death by his parents, |
4 | | Everett and Louise Fulton; his first wife, Deanna Fulton; and |
5 | | his sister, Marcia Grzanich; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Bud Fulton is survived by his wife of 41 years, |
7 | | Debra Fulton; his five children, Pamela (Gary) Davis, Kerry |
8 | | Fulton, Cheryl Fulton O'Brien, Matthew Fulton, and Kyle |
9 | | Fulton; his seven grandchildren, Morgan (Luke) Fulton-Gorham, |
10 | | Taylor (Cayl) Champagne, Chandler May, Hanna Fulton, Josh |
11 | | Boseke, Christian O'Brien, and Remi Fulton; his one |
12 | | great-granddaughter, Harlow May; and his special sister, Wanda |
13 | | Lee Hitchcock; therefore, be it

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL |
15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
16 | | George E. "Bud" Fulton and extend our sincere condolences to |
17 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
18 | | further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Bud Fulton as an expression of our |
21 | | deepest sympathy.
