2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Richard E. Tite of Rosewood Heights, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on November 24, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Richard Tite was born to Arthur and Theresa | ||||||
6 | (Bradley) Tite in Arthur on May 14, 1950; he served in the U.S. | ||||||
7 | Army in communication and artillery units and was awarded the | ||||||
8 | National Defense Service Medal; he married Sherry Mead in | ||||||
9 | Godfrey on May 13, 1984; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Richard Tite was an entrepreneur and spent his | ||||||
11 | life owning and operating bars; in 1971, he bought his first | ||||||
12 | bar, named Richard's, in Alton and later expanded it to what | ||||||
13 | would become The Club; in 1988, he purchased The Airliner Bar | ||||||
14 | and Grill in Rosewood Heights, which he still owned; in 1999, | ||||||
15 | he, his brother Eddie Tite, and his nephew Marty Tite opened | ||||||
16 | The Franchise Sports Bar and Grill; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Richard Tite was well-known in the community and | ||||||
18 | well-liked; he enjoyed spending time at the card table and | ||||||
19 | traveling with his wife; he was a hero to his children and a | ||||||
20 | friend and mentor to many; and
| ||||||
21 | WHEREAS, Richard Tite was preceded in death by his |

1 | parents; three brothers, Ronnie, Larry, and Michael Tite; one | ||||||
2 | sister, Janet Hahnenkamp; his father-in-law, Ron Mead; a | ||||||
3 | sister-in-law, Linda Tite; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Heater; | ||||||
4 | and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Richard Tite is survived by his two daughters, | ||||||
6 | Michelle (Tim) Albright and Ashley Tite; his one son, Jordan | ||||||
7 | Tite; his two grandchildren, Sophie and Christian Albright; | ||||||
8 | his brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie (Mary Kay) Tite and Art | ||||||
9 | (Patty) Tite; one brother-in-law, Rich Hahnenkamp; and two | ||||||
10 | sisters-in-law, Marcy Mead and her husband Virgil and Sharla | ||||||
11 | Withers; his one sister, Rose Tite; his mothers-in-law, Sharon | ||||||
12 | (Ted) Sperry and Diane Mead; and his several nieces and | ||||||
13 | nephews; therefore, be it

14 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
15 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
16 | Richard E. Tite and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
17 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
18 | further

19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| ||||||
20 | presented to the family of Richard Tite as an expression of
our | ||||||
21 | deepest sympathy.
