SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Lois Janet (Rischow) DeBellis of
4Palatine, who passed away on March 10, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis was born in Chicago to Albert
6Rischow and Florence (Czarnik) Rischow on September 28, 1953;
7she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the
8University of Illinois at Chicago in 1975; she married Edward
9DeBellis; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis worked as a nurse for 40 years;
11throughout her career, she specialized in caring for those
12with mental illness, those who were homebound, and those with
13special needs at school; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis loved the outdoors; she traveled
15the country and visited various National Parks with her hiking
16group; she was lovingly referred to as "Wannawalk" by her
17hiking friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis was preceded in death by her
19parents; her many aunts and uncles; and her father-in-law and
20mother-in-law; and

1    WHEREAS, Lois DeBellis is survived by her husband, Dr.
2Edward DeBellis, Psy.D.; her daughter, Lisa (Eric Schuller);
3her son, Eric (Anny Gonzalez); and her grandchildren, Asher
4and Ainsley Schuller; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Lois Janet (Rischow) DeBellis and extend our sincere
8condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9her; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Lois DeBellis as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
