SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of John Robert Bogart of Fulton, who
4passed away on March 5, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Bogart was born to Clayton L. and Luella F.
6(Williams) Bogart in Moline on July 30, 1941; he attended
7Thomson High School and served in the United States Army; he
8married Janice Marie Rose in Clinton, Iowa in November of
91982; and
 
10    WHEREAS, John Bogart had a variety of jobs while working
11at John Deere for over 30 years; most recently, he drove tour
12buses for Wiersema Charter Services in Morrison; and
 
13    WHEREAS, John Bogart loved going on rides with his wife on
14his Spyder Motorcycle and was a member of the Northerns
15Motorcycle Club out of Sterling; he enjoyed camping, riding
16his ATVs, bicycling, and fishing on his pontoon boat; his
17truck was his pride and joy; and
 
18    WHEREAS, John Bogart was preceded in death by his parents;
19his three sisters, Betty Hamm, Marilyn Joyce Osborn, and Sally
20Ann Hawn; and his two brothers, Clayton L. Bogart Jr. and
21Donald Eugene Bogart; and

1    WHEREAS, John Bogart is survived by his wife; his two
2daughters, Denise (Jeff) Mayers and Cindy (Scott Hood) Bogart;
3his son, Jay (Cathy) Bogart; his stepson, Jim (Margaret) Rose;
4his fourteen grandchildren; his many great-grandchildren; his
5two brothers, Bill Bogart and Jerry (Myrtle) Bogart; and his
6many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9John Robert Bogart and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of John Bogart as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
