2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3166 by replacing | ||||||
3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4 | "Section 5. The University of Illinois Hospital Act is | ||||||
5 | amended by adding Section 8g as follows: | ||||||
6 | (110 ILCS 330/8g new) | ||||||
7 | Sec. 8g. University of Illinois Hospital employee | ||||||
8 | assistance programs. The University of Illinois Hospital shall | ||||||
9 | ensure that nurses employed by the University of Illinois | ||||||
10 | Hospital are aware of employee assistance programs or other | ||||||
11 | like programs available for the physical and mental well-being | ||||||
12 | of the employee. The University of Illinois Hospital shall | ||||||
13 | provide information on these programs, no less than at the | ||||||
14 | time of employment and during any benefit open enrollment | ||||||
15 | period, by an information form about the respective programs | ||||||
16 | that a nurse must sign during onboarding at the University of |

1 | Illinois Hospital. The signed information form shall be added | ||||||
2 | to the nurse's personnel file. The University of Illinois | ||||||
3 | Hospital may provide this information to nurses | ||||||

5 | Section 10. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is | ||||||
6 | amended by adding Section 77 as follows: | ||||||
7 | (210 ILCS 9/77 new) | ||||||
8 | Sec. 77. Establishment employee assistance programs. An | ||||||
9 | establishment shall ensure that licensed health care | ||||||
10 | professionals employed by the establishment are aware of | ||||||
11 | employee assistance programs or other like programs available | ||||||
12 | for the physical and mental well-being of the employee. The | ||||||
13 | establishment shall provide information on these programs, no | ||||||
14 | less than at the time of employment and during any benefit open | ||||||
15 | enrollment period, by an information form about the respective | ||||||
16 | programs that a licensed health care professional must sign | ||||||
17 | during onboarding at the establishment. The signed information | ||||||
18 | form shall be added to the licensed health care professional's | ||||||
19 | personnel file. The establishment may provide this information | ||||||
20 | to licensed health care professionals electronically. | ||||||
21 | Section 15. The Community Living Facilities Licensing Act | ||||||
22 | is amended by adding Section 5.10 as follows: |

2 | Sec. 5.10. Community Living Facility employee assistance | ||||||
3 | programs. A Community Living Facility shall ensure that | ||||||

6 | other like programs available for the physical and mental | ||||||
7 | well-being of the employee. The Community Living Facility | ||||||
8 | shall provide information on these programs, no less than at | ||||||
9 | the time of employment and during any benefit open enrollment | ||||||
10 | period, by an information form about the respective programs | ||||||
11 | that a licensed health care professional must sign during | ||||||
12 | onboarding at the Community Living Facility. The signed | ||||||
13 | information form shall be added to the licensed health care | ||||||

17 | Section 20. The Life Care Facilities Act is amended by | ||||||
18 | adding Section 10.2 as follows: | ||||||

20 | Sec. 10.2. Facility employee assistance programs. A | ||||||
21 | facility shall ensure that nurses employed by the facility are | ||||||
22 | aware of employee assistance programs or other like programs | ||||||

24 | employee. The facility shall provide information on these |

7 | hospital licensed under this Act shall ensure that employees | ||||||
8 | of the hospital are made aware of employee assistance programs | ||||||
9 | or other like programs available for the physical and mental | ||||||
10 | well-being of the employees. Hospitals shall provide | ||||||
11 | information on these programs, no less than at the time of | ||||||
12 | employment and during any benefit open enrollment period, by | ||||||
13 | an information form about the respective programs that an | ||||||
14 | employee must sign during onboarding at the hospital. A | ||||||
15 | hospital may provide this information to employees | ||||||
16 | electronically. ".
