Amends the Surface-Mined Land Conservation and Reclamation Act. Provides that the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation shall conduct inspections of the operation of a surface mining facility on a quarterly basis or 4 times per year.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Surface-Mined Land Conservation and |
| 5 | | Reclamation Act is amended by changing Section 7 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 7.
Entry upon
lands for inspection.

| 8 | | The Department, or its accredited representatives, may |
| 9 | | enter upon the
lands of the operator at all reasonable times |
| 10 | | for the purpose of
inspection, to determine whether the |
| 11 | | provisions of this Act have been
complied with. The Department |
| 12 | | shall conduct inspections of the operation on a quarterly |
| 13 | | basis or 4 times per year.
