HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Pearl
4Elaine Dilg of Gurnee, who passed away on February 25, 2022;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg was born to John and Elizabeth
7(Fretzler) Miller in Chicago on December 4, 1929; she married
8Allen Dilg in McHenry on February 1, 1969; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg loved animals; she showed dairy
10cattle, raised and showed Siamese cats, and raised German
11Short Hairs, Doberman Pinchers, and miniature Dachshunds; she
12also raised Quarter Horses, Paints, and Pintos, which she
13showed with her family; her greatest achievement was breeding,
14raising, and showing her own champion line of animals; she
15showed at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at the age of
1683; through her hobby, she was respected, loved, developed
17lifelong friendships, and brought so much joy to the many who
18adopted her dogs; her kennel name was Dilu Dachshunds, which
19meant "From Dilg, With Love"; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg was a lifetime member of the Lake
21County Mounted Posse, Inc., where she and her family enjoyed
22trail rides, fundraising, horse shows, and local parades; she

1was an active member of the Chain O' Lakes Kennel Club and the
2National Miniature Dachshund Club, and she presented her
3dachshunds all over the country; she was also a member of the
4Lake County Farm Heritage Association and the Southeastern
5Wisconsin Antique Power and Collectible Society, where she
6presented her Allis Chalmers "G" model; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg was an avid gardener and presented her
8vegetables and sunflowers, as well as her antique collections,
9at the local county fair as recently as 10 years ago; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg was preceded in death by her parents
11and her nine siblings; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg is survived by her husband of 53
13years, Allen; her children, Sandra Kuebker, Patrick Kuebker,
14Sharon Kuebker, and John (Kim) Dilg; her grandchildren, Jamie
15Kuebker, Brian (Felicia) Kuebker, Kendra Dilg, and Alaina
16Dilg; her great-grandchildren, Molly Kuebker and Bree Kuebker;
17and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
19HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
20we mourn the passing of Pearl Elaine Dilg and extend our
21sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
22and loved her; and be it further
