2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Pearl | ||||||
4 | Elaine Dilg of Gurnee, who passed away on February 25, 2022; | ||||||
5 | and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg was born to John and Elizabeth | ||||||
7 | (Fretzler) Miller in Chicago on December 4, 1929; she married | ||||||
8 | Allen Dilg in McHenry on February 1, 1969; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg loved animals; she showed dairy | ||||||
10 | cattle, raised and showed Siamese cats, and raised German | ||||||
11 | Short Hairs, Doberman Pinchers, and miniature Dachshunds; she | ||||||
12 | also raised Quarter Horses, Paints, and Pintos, which she | ||||||
13 | showed with her family; her greatest achievement was breeding, | ||||||
14 | raising, and showing her own champion line of animals; she | ||||||
15 | showed at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at the age of | ||||||
16 | 83; through her hobby, she was respected, loved, developed | ||||||
17 | lifelong friendships, and brought so much joy to the many who | ||||||
18 | adopted her dogs; her kennel name was Dilu Dachshunds, which | ||||||
19 | meant "From Dilg, With Love"; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg was a lifetime member of the Lake | ||||||
21 | County Mounted Posse, Inc., where she and her family enjoyed | ||||||
22 | trail rides, fundraising, horse shows, and local parades; she |

1 | was an active member of the Chain O' Lakes Kennel Club and the | ||||||
2 | National Miniature Dachshund Club, and she presented her | ||||||
3 | dachshunds all over the country; she was also a member of the | ||||||
4 | Lake County Farm Heritage Association and the Southeastern | ||||||
5 | Wisconsin Antique Power and Collectible Society, where she | ||||||
6 | presented her Allis Chalmers "G" model; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg was an avid gardener and presented her | ||||||
8 | vegetables and sunflowers, as well as her antique collections, | ||||||
9 | at the local county fair as recently as 10 years ago; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg was preceded in death by her parents | ||||||
11 | and her nine siblings; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Pearl Dilg is survived by her husband of 53 | ||||||
13 | years, Allen; her children, Sandra Kuebker, Patrick Kuebker, | ||||||
14 | Sharon Kuebker, and John (Kim) Dilg; her grandchildren, Jamie | ||||||
15 | Kuebker, Brian (Felicia) Kuebker, Kendra Dilg, and Alaina | ||||||
16 | Dilg; her great-grandchildren, Molly Kuebker and Bree Kuebker; | ||||||
17 | and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
19 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
20 | we mourn the passing of Pearl Elaine Dilg and extend our | ||||||
21 | sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew | ||||||
22 | and loved her; and be it further
