HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Pinckneyville High 
4School boys varsity basketball team, the Panthers, on winning 
5their 2000th game; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Panthers opened their season celebrating 
7their 2000th win after playing the Chester High School boys 
8varsity basketball team, the Yellow Jackets, on November 24, 
92021; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The Panthers defeated the Yellow Jackets 60-24, 
11creating yet another milestone for Pinckneyville High School 
12that was 105 years in the making; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The 2021-2022 Panthers are Duke Riggins, Nile 
14Adcock, Pearson Launius, Asher Jausel, Hunter Smith, Isaac 
15Queen, Kellen Scott, Lance Brokering, Jase Lee, Vaden 
16Szczepanski, Riley Mohr, Joey Iaccino, Trey Moll, and Karsen 
17Konkel; their names will be enshrined in Pinckneyville High 
18School history for their contribution to the school's march to 
19its 2000th win in varsity boys basketball; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert "Bob" Waggoner, current head coach of the 
21Panthers, has broadened the basketball program's rich heritage

1with a record of 337-91 over the past 14 years, resulting in  
2high hopes as he enters his 15th season; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate the Pinckneyville High School boys varsity 
6basketball team, the Panthers, for achieving their 2000th win, 
7and we wish the team continued success; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
9presented to Head Coach Robert "Bob" Waggoner and 
10Pinckneyville High School Principal Tony Wilson as an 
11expression of our esteem and respect.
