2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Canine |
4 | | Diesel of the Lake County Sheriff's Office, who passed away on |
5 | | September 11, 2021; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Starting his career in 2015, Canine Diesel was a |
7 | | sworn member of the Lake County Sheriff's Office and added |
8 | | tremendous value to the community throughout his years of |
9 | | service; he was the partner of Deputy Craig Somerville and |
10 | | waited anxiously every day for his partner to open the squad |
11 | | car door so they could go to work; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Canine Diesel will be remembered for finding |
13 | | dozens of missing endangered people, fleeing felons, and |
14 | | significant amounts of contraband; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Born on September 16th, Canine Diesel was seven |
16 | | years old and had recently been diagnosed with an aggressive |
17 | | cancer found to be in an advanced stage; therefore, be it
|
18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
19 | | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
20 | | we mourn the passing of Canine Diesel and extend our sincere |
21 | | condolences to all who knew and loved him; and be it further
