HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the sudden and tragic death of Kayla Nicole Fannon of Peoria, who passed away on February 14, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Fannon was born to Thomas Fannon and Kristian Michelle Rora-Howe in Peoria on December 16, 1988; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Fannon was a homemaker; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Fannon enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, listening to music and dancing, and family vacations; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Fannon loved life and lived her life to the fullest; she will be remembered as a free spirit, who loved with all her heart; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Fannon was preceded in death by her mother; her maternal grandfather, James T. Rora; and her paternal grandfather, Bascum Fannon; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Fannon is survived by her father, Thomas (Janneke) Fannon; her four children, Jordan, Kayloni, Jaydyn and Aly'ana; her maternal grandmother, Jackie Rora; her paternal grandmother, Patricia (Robert "Ronnie") Wynn; her three sisters, Mercedes Fannon, Paige (Travis) Anderson, and Taylor Stasz; her one stepbrother, Chad (Ashley) Tucker; her aunt, Marni Rora; her three uncles, Todd (Melissa) Fannon, Tim (Barbie) Fannon, and Troy (Jill) Fannon; her nephew, Saint; and her several cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kayla Fannon and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we recognize the need for people who suffer domestic violence to be taken seriously by the criminal justice system and the wider need in society to offer support to people who suffer domestic violence; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kayla Fannon as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
