SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $35,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for the New Arrival Student Grant Program. Effective July 1, 2023.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $35,000,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Education for grants distributed under the New Arrival Student Grant Program established by Section 2-3.196 of the School Code.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2023.
