Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent expenses of the Department of Juvenile Justice for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022, as follows:

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 1. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, are appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the following divisions of the Department of Juvenile Justice for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023:

Section 20. The amounts appropriated for repairs and maintenance, and other capital improvements in Section 10 for repairs and maintenance, roof repairs and/or replacements and miscellaneous capital improvements at the Department’s various institutions are to include construction, reconstruction, improvements, repairs and installation of capital facilities, costs of planning, supplies, materials and all other expenses required for roof and other types of repairs and maintenance, capital improvements, and purchase of land.
Section 25. The sum of $6,300, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Department of Juvenile Justice from the General Revenue Fund for costs and expenses associated with payment of statewide hospitalization.
Section 30. The amount of $406,900, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Juvenile Justice for the purposes of investigating complaints, evaluating policies and procedures, and securing the rights of the youth committed to the Department of Juvenile Justice, including youth released to the Community Services Division before final discharge.
Section 35. The amount of $60,800, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Department of Juvenile Justice for costs associated with positive behavior interventions and supports.
Section 99. Effective Date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2022.
