Amends the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Provides that, notwithstanding any other provision of law, any packaging of beef sold in Illinois must have a label on the packaging that contains the beef's country of origin.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act is |
5 | | amended by adding Section 3.25 as follows: |
6 | | (410 ILCS 620/3.25 new) |
7 | | Sec. 3.25. Beef packaging; country of origin. |
8 | | Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any packaging of |
9 | | beef sold in Illinois must have a label on the packaging that |
10 | | contains the beef's country of origin.
